Bead Challenge for our natural, hand harvested Wyoming Sky Jade©

With fine grain and high vitreous luster as well as high color consistency, it was time to test this jade for one of the hardest challenges in the natural gem world: matching graduated beads with a complementary centerpiece. This striking necklace consists of 12 6mm beads, 12 8 mm beads, 8 10 mm, 6 12 mm beads and a 1.5 cm by 5 cm matched centerpiece. Bead spacers are 2 to 3 mm 14 karat gold beads which highlight the rich nature of the jade. From Earth to Art, we invite you to see the process involved in creating such a piece…with our good friend and internationally recognized jade artist Shane Hauser on the bead making.

Revealing Sky Jades© of Wyoming

In “Revealing Sky Jades©, Wyoming”, we show some of what can be carved from our Sky Jades© to offer insight to third parties who wonder what the workability of these stones is. This testing exercise has also allowed to see the range of colors, grain size and translucency of the materials using different designs. We hope you enjoy this video as we take you through the planning, cutting and carving materials evaluation process from our most recently recognized Jade in the field, sampled in 2019 and 2020.

Wyoming Top Black Jade

A short video on a high quality, very fine grained black nephrite Jade from Jade Leader’s T1 target, Wyoming. Black Jade was typically associated with the historical Edward’s Mine and Wyoming’s past Jade production history. This particular sample illustrates that there clearly remains potential for excellent new black Jade discoveries within the Jade bearing systems identified by Jade Leader to date.

Sky Jades, A New American Jade Discovery

In this video, “Sky Jades, A New American Jade Discovery”, we compiled a short “introductory” type video of our new Sky Jades © from our Wyoming Jade Exploration projects. This short clip was compiled to broaden exposure of our longer previously published documentary style “The Quest for Sky Jades, Wyoming” and “Revealing Sky Jades, Wyoming” in a shorter format which is more appropriate for sharing on various social media platforms in North America and abroad.
